Incredible colour pic of 18-year-old Queen during WWII emerges… and she looks just like another Royal

The original black-and-white image was brought to life by artist Richard James Molloy, from Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

In the picture, the future Queen is seen leaning out of the side of an Army jeep – and bears a striking resemblance to her great-granddaughter, Princess Charlotte.

One Royal fan wrote on Reddit: "Can really see the resemblance in Princess Charlotte with this picture."

Another added: "William really resembles her. She was the winner of the dna pass along."

A third wrote: "William is all Diana in my eyes, but Princess Charlotte looks exactly like the Queen to me."

The Queen learned to drive during World War II when she operated a first-aid truck for the Women's Auxillary Territorial Service.

In 1945 she became the first female member of the Royal Family to join the Armed Services as a full-time active member.

She then served as an Honourary Brigadier in the Women's Royal Army Corps from 1949 to her coronation in 1953.
