First picture of mum, 33, and two children, 8 and 5, killed in house blaze as dad fights for life

Justine Collison, 33, died alongside her eight-year-old daughter Izzy in the blaze that took hold of their Collingham home yesterday – just days before Christmas.

Five-year-old Harvey was pulled from the home but police today tragically confirmed he had also passed away.

Today, dad Gavin Collison, 34, remains in a serious condition after being rescued from the flames.

Tributes have today been paid to the family after the horror blaze, with one friend writing on social media: "Really can't believe I'm writing this.

"RIP Justine Collison and your little girl. Absolutely heartbreaking hearing this awful news. I was literally just chatting to you the other day.

"You were so lovely inside and out. Some fantastic memories of you at Halton. Thoughts are with your husband and family xxxx".

Another added: "Still can't believe it's true! Just can't stop thinking about the awful news of Justine Collison and her children passing away.

"You never know when your last breath will be. She took life by the horns and lived it to the fullest, still nowhere near long enough.

"My head is blown my heart is heavy. Devastated for ALL the family that I grew up with that treasured her and her children so much. I'm constantly praying for you all."

It comes as it was revealed a gran who was also at the house at the time managed to miraculously escape the flames.

Neighbours have told The Sun Online how the “traumatised” woman, aged 53, was seen walking out of the blazing house “in a complete daze but without a scratch”.

Diane Norton said the tragedy, which has stunned the close-knit community, was “heartbreaking” and “so desperately sad just before Christmas.”

Her husband Paul and son Elliot had frantically been banging on the front door to try to alert the sleeping family after seeing their conservatory engulfed in flames at around 7am on Saturday.

The £350,000 house which has been completely gutted was still sealed off last night as emergency services continued removing the charred contents.

The family had moved into the “dream home” two years ago after moving from nearby Norton Disney.

Mrs Norton said: "They were a really nice young family and I knew them to say hello to.

"They were very sociable and always inviting people over. The maternal grandma lived there too.

"It is an absolute tragedy and has shocked everyone living in the area. Our hearts go out to the poor gran.

"I can’t imagine anything worse then her losing her daughter and grandchild in this awful way."

She added: “My husband saw her walking out being led by fire officers. She didn’t appear to have a scratch on her but she was in a complete daze and is being comforted by another neighbour.”

She told how the house had been in complete darkness with no lights on when the fire broke out.

The devastated neighbour said: "The conservatory is opposite the front of our house and my husband and son saw flames ripping through it. It was totally ablaze.

"They ran over to bang on the door to wake the people up. They were still in bed asleep. Another man smashed a window but sadly it was too late."

She added: "My son went to hospital for a cut to his hand caused by banging on the door so hard. He said the heat was so intense inside."

Area Chief Inspector Rich Stapleford today said: "Tragically a boy, five, who was rescued from the house and taken to hospital has died.

"This follows the news that a girl aged eight and a woman aged 33 died following the incident. "A 34-year-old man remains in hospital in a serious condition.

"Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, friends and the community of Collingham at this difficult time."

It is believed that all casualties were members of the same family.

A joint Fire and Police investigation is taking place to establish a cause.
