Retired railway worker Mr Tor said: ‘The Keep is a well-known place, but the trend of taking photos right at the edge has only really become popular in recent years.

‘To reach the top you have to drive along a four mile dirt road to the Keep’s gate and then take a ten minute walk.

‘When we got there, we carefully inched to the edge of the rock. Once you’re on the edge the nervousness goes away, but it really is scary to approach the edge.

‘The fear of intensifies as you start to question what if the rock breaks or what if there’s a strong wind.

‘But once you are taking in the sights, any other thoughts disappear from your mind. You can see all around you and the sunset is especially beautiful.’

Gülek Keep is a well-known sot in the area for locals and tourists to view the panoramic views and get a breath-taking selfie.
