Adorable moment Prince Harry playfully tickles boy, 2, as he meets adoring crowds on Sussex trip with Meghan

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex may have royal watchers wondering if they're feeling broody as the playful pair tickled and smiled with children during the Chichester walkabout.

Today's visit is the first time Meghan has visited Sussex, despite being duchess of the county for more than four months.

In one touching moment during the visit, the Duke of Sussex stopped to tickle two-year-old Tobias Henning, who threw his head back and giggled, squirming in his mum's arms as the prince chuckled.

Elsewhere on the walkabout, the couple beamed as they bent to speak to young schoolchildren and Prince Harry even appeared to play with a young blonde girl in the crowd.

And the obliging prince made time for all of his fans in Sussex as he even knelt to cradle a dog's face, who was amongst wellwishers in the crowd.

Prince Harry has previously spoken of his hope to start a family with Meghan in the future.

During their engagement interview that was broadcast back in November 2017, they were both asked about their plans for kids.

Prince Harry said: “One step at a time, and hopefully we’ll start a family in the near future.”

And during their wedding ceremony in May, the 33-year-old royal couldn't help but smile at Meghan Markle as the Dean of Windsor discussed marriage being the "foundation of family life".

A royal source told The Mirror at the time: "Harry was bursting with pride the whole ceremony, but it was that reaction that caught the eye of those who know him best.

"It was beautiful and a subtle nod to the hope they both have that they will become parents as soon as possible."

During her first visit to Sussex today, Meghan looked chic in a £369 Hugo Boss green leather skirt, paired with a £369 Georgio Armani cashmere coat and a £69 & Other Stories blouse for the Chichester walkabout.

Meghan, who swept her hair into a bun and carried a £4,785 Gabriela Hearst Demi bag, made sure to meet as many eager fans as possible – including cooing over a young fan eating an apple while also letting a dog lick her hand.

After the walkabout in Chichester, the royal couple headed up the coast to Bognor Regis to officially open the University of Chichester's Engineering and Digital Technology Park.

From there, they will head to Brighton and Hove where they will visit the Royal Pavillion, and then walk to Survivors' Network, a charity that supports survivors of sexual violence and abuse in Sussex.

Their last engagement of the day will be a visit to JOFF Youth Centre in the coastal town of Peacehaven.
