X Factor star Danny Tetley defends bizarre on-stage rant and reveals there are 'questionable' song choices again this week

The 37-year-old shocked fans during last week's live shows as he slammed the song choices of Guilty Pleasures week.

While he had sung Madonna's Crazy For You, Danny felt some of his fellow hopefuls and their mentors hadn't stuck to the theme as much as he had.

But appearing on today's This Morning, Danny was unapologetic for his outburst, telling Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes: "I'm a very proud Yorkshire man and I say what I think.

"If it was opera week, you wouldn't have someone singing Slipknot, if it was Motown week, you wouldn't sing Frank Sinatra.

"I thought I sang well, I have got a bona fide throat infection which is hopefully on it's way out, but to hit the notes, I was proud.

"When I heard some of the others singing songs in their comfort zone, when I went out of my comfort zone…"

As he trailed off, Eamonn asked if any of his co-stars were upset by his comments, even though he hadn't named and shamed.

He replied: "A couple of the contestants agreed their songs weren't guilty pleasures."

Danny then revealed all about this week's song choices, saying: "Fright night it's Halloween, so there may be some questionable songs this week as well.

"You may even say that about the song that I'm singing."

Without saying what he was singing, he added: "Halloween, the term, is about celebrating the dead, that's all I can say."

Danny also went on to say he doesn't think he will win the competition.

He said: "I'm not going to win it, I know who is going to win it.

"I think the final three will be Dalton, Shan and Scarlett. They're in a league of their own."
