What is The Bisexual about?

The series is all about the taboos around bisexuality and the stigmas that come with it.

The story of the series follows Leila, who's on a break from her 10-year relationship with girlfriend and business partner Sadie.

Set in London, New York native Leila moves out of her shared pad with Sadie and rents a room.

The room belongs to novelist Gabe, who is living in the shadow of his own success.

Wanting to explore her sexuality, Leila starts sleeping with men but avoids confessing that she is now bisexual, especially to her best friend Deniz.

Gabe starts to act as Leila's wingman, guiding her through a new life of bisexuality, while she introduces him to the London lesbian scene.

She even offers Gabe some advice on his girlfriend Francisca.

Who is in the cast of the show?

Desiree Akhavan will take on the lead role of Leila, while her girlfriend Sadie will be played by Maxine Peake.

Brian Gleeson, the Irish actor best known for his work in Snow White and the Hunstman, Logan Lucky and Assasin's Creed, is also in the cast as Gabe.

Meanwhile, Deniz will be portrayed by Saskia Chana and Francisca by Michelle Guillot.
