This Morning outrage at young kids pole dancing as parents discuss ‘exotic’ past

Outraged This Morning viewers have slammed the daytime TV show for showing young girls pole dancing.

During a controversial segment which has been labelled ‘disgusting’, a family of pole dancers, including girls aged five and three, showed off their moves on the pole.

Former exotic dancer Lindsey Teall and partner Jake Night have taught their three kids "since birth" to dance on the ‘pressurised pole’ erected in their living room.

Lindsey, who pole-danced throughout her pregnancies, hit back at public criticism and said it was a form of sport for her kids.

Aiden, 11, Alaura, five, and Rosalyn, three, were not given earpieces because their parents spoke about their "exotic" past.

The children were clearly frustrated at not being able to listen in to the interview with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.

This led them to start talking amongst themselves in their living room in St Louis, Missouri.

Revealing what got her into the sport, Lindsey said: "I started when I got into a club and fell in love with it. My pole dancing evolved outside the club when I did competitions and started teaching. I still love it."

Dad Jake had taught circus arts and gymnastics before turning to pole dancing.

When asked if their was an "exotic side", he said: "That’s correct. Pole dancing has evolved into many things. There are many facets and styles to it. Comedic, contemporary, sport.

"It’s like anything else, you have to learn to separate the adult side from the family side."

Despite public criticism that’s it’s inappropriate, former exotic dancer Lindsey said it taught them to be strong and graceful.

"We introduced them from birth," she said. "We got them into it strictly as fitness. They’ve only seen the fitness side of it. We go to conventions, they’ve seen me compete.

"We don’t feel they need to see the exotic side. When they grow older if they want to that’s their choice."

The most controversial part came after the interview when the family performed a little group number.

The parents showed off their moves and got their kids to join in as well.

They span around the pole, used their muscles to hold their body weight and even turned upside down.

Disgusted This Morning viewers took to Twitter to blast the segment.

One viewer said: "Disgusting. Having two small 5 year old girls pole dancing. And holly and Phil sit there promoting it, smiling away."

Another added: "This thing about the pole-dancing family on #thismorning is an absolute MESS. Philip and Holly look like they want to turn inside out with embarrassment."

A third said: "What am I watching on #ThisMorning Seeing a little girl with her legs wide open on daytime telly, actually disgusting. the parents should be ashamed."
