Chip and Joanna Gaines shocked fans everywhere when they decided to end their hit HGTV show, Fixer Upper, to spend more time with their family. But nobody could blame them for the choice. After all, they had four beautiful children at the time — Emmie, Duke, Ella, and Drake — and America soon learned that baby number five was on the way.

When Joanna Gaines gave birth to baby number five, a boy named Crew, she posted an adorable photo of the newborn on Instagram. She explained to her followers that Crew arrived 2.5 weeks before the expected due date, on June 21. Closer Weekly reports that Joanna had worried about going into labor early. “Chip is often out and about,” a source revealed. “Joanna was worried that he wouldn’t be around if she went into labor early.”

After the Gaineses got home from the hospital with baby Crew, Joanna shared another photo of her “cuddle bug” settling into the family. There’s a big age gap between Crew and his siblings. But as People reports, Joanna seems to think that makes the experience even more special. “We think about things like when Emmie goes off to college this little one will only be 10,” she said. “It’s just crazy to think how wide that gap is.” But she added, “I think it’s sweet because they’re older now, and I can see them wanting to be a part of this.” She also said, “We’re all rallying around this baby, which I feel is a sweet gift to our family.”

Meanwhile, Joanna was taking to her Instagram Story to share her secret for getting the baby to sleep. “Walking with my boy in the garden,” she said as she walked Crew around the family’s backyard.

But she’s said that she doesn’t regret the timing of baby number five, writing that having a baby at age 40 was “a gift.” However, she admitted, “I am 40, and pregnancy this time was different.” She wrote. “I have always really enjoyed being pregnant — I tend to feel my best during those nine months. This time I felt a little more worn out than usual.”

The Gaineses were watching Baylor University play Abilene Christian, and People notes that they got to celebrate a 55-27 victory for their home team.

Joanna Gaines posted a sweet photo of Chip consoling Crew during a routine weigh-in at the pediatrician’s office. But surprisingly enough, the post got flooded with anti-vaccine comments. Joanna never mentioned anything about vaccines in the post. And she hasn’t shared whether or not the Gaineses plan to follow the CDC-recommend schedule of vaccines with Crew or their other children. But thousands of comments kept pouring in, anyway.
