Love wins!
Bachelor: Vietnam took a surprising turn when one of the contestants, Minh Thu, declared she was no longer interested in pursuing the Bachelor, Nguyen Quoc Trung, because she’d fallen in love with someone else. That someone else turned out to be her fellow contestant, Truc Nhu.
“I went into this competition to find love, and I’ve found that love for myself, but it isn’t with you. It’s with someone else,” Minh told Trung at the rose ceremony, which has since gone viral.
She walked over to Truc, who was standing at the back, hugged her tight, and begged her to drop the contest so they could be together. “Come home with me,” she pleaded.
Truc made her way to the front to return the rose and told the Bachelor and the show’s host she was quitting the competition. “I’m sorry. I really want to get to know you because you’re someone who made me feel special and I haven’t felt that way in a long time,” she said. Both men tried to reason with her, but it appears her decision was final. Minh and Truc left the room together.
Unfortunately, it was reported that Truc changed her mind after she had a heart-to-heart talk with Trung. However, Bachelor: Vietnam executive producer Anh Tran recently confirmed Minh and Truc have reunited and started a relationship. “They left the show and have been together since. We delivered on our promise that two people would find love,” he said.
He also wanted to make it clear that the confession was not at all staged.
“In the cynical age that we live in, it’s very easy to believe these things are staged, but if you look at every contestant’s face as well as the host’s, you can tell this is 100% real,” Anh shared. “There aren’t any fast cuts nor do we overplay the scene. This scene breathes on its own.”
It turns out Truc decided to stay just to make sure their feelings did not stem from their close proximity in the shared house. After two more episodes, she asked to leave because “she already found what she was looking for and it’s waiting for her at home.”
