The pro dancer, 29, was pictured passionately kissing her celebrity partner Seann Walsh – leaving their relationship in doubt.
After the shocking pictures were published, Neil and Katya had continued like normal, with his mother speaking publicly about her support for her daughter-in-law.
Katya was spotted looking miserable as she headed to training yesterday and was keen to insist her marriage was still fine.
She said in a statement: “I love my husband and we are very happy together, this is not a reflection on our relationship.”
His fans believed differently however, after Neil posted a picture of himself lying on some rocks with a very cryptic comment.
Former Strictly judge Arlene Phillips fanned the fire this morning by suggesting Neil and Katya were in an open relationship.
Speaking on Lorraine, Arlene said: “We all love Neil and Katya, there is a togetherness, in truth who knows what their relationship [is like]?
“I know many people who have open relationships and we know nothing about Seann’s relationship with his girlfriend.”
After their passionate kiss was revealed, Seann was dumped by his girlfriend Rebecca Humphries.
He has since been hounded on social media, with hundreds of Strictly fans demanding he quit the show out of respect.
The show will go on however and yesterday BBC bosses confirmed Seann and Katya would be dancing the Charleston this weekend.
Once on the floor however they could be in for a very frosty reception, as insiders told The Sun the judges were desperate to see Seann and Katya gone.
