Soap spoilers: EastEnders Carter split, Hollyoaks wedding, Coronation Street tension, Emmerdale arrest

EastEnders has revealed a first look at the shocking moment that Linda Carter turns her back on her husband Mick next week.

Linda (Kellie Bright) loses faith in Mick when some damning new evidence comes to light, leaving her convinced that he really is guilty of shooting Stuart Highway.

In Tuesday night’s episode (October 2), solicitor Ritchie Scott tells the Carters that the police now have a statement from a man who says he sold a gun to Mick.

The bullet used to shoot Stuart also matches the weapon, so it’s not looking good for Mick (Danny Dyer) and his future.

When Linda heads to the prison to confront Mick over the latest revelations, he tries to explain that Stuart shot himself and confessed to him over the phone.

However, when Mick also admits that he did contemplate killing Stuart on the night of the shooting, Linda refuses to believe he can be innocent. How will Mick react when Linda publicly cuts all ties with him and leaves?

EastEnders airs these scenes on Tuesday, October 2 at 7.30pm on BBC One.

Meanwhile, here’s a first look at Hollyoaks‘ next big wedding episode as Joel Dexter and Cleo McQueen prepare to tie the knot.

The pair’s nuptials will take centre stage in a special episode of Hollyoaks, which will air on World Mental Health Day and further explore Cleo’s bulimia storyline.

Next month, Cleo (Nadine Mulkerrin) and Joel (Rory Douglas-Speed) grow frustrated over the double wedding that’s being organised for them, Russ and Mercedes.

With Nana and Goldie taking over the planning, Cleo and Joel feel they’re not having any say in their own big day.

Taking matters back into their own hands, Cleo and Joel decide to get married on their own later in the week without the family knowing anything about it. However, when the McQueens find out what they’re up to, they insist on being involved.

The wedding special will be another experimental episode for Hollyoaks, showcasing the same day from different perspectives.

Viewers will be able to see Cleo’s skewed sense of reality compared to what is actually happening, as her bulimia storyline finally comes to a head.

Hollyoaks boss Bryan Kirkwood recently told Digital Spy: “Myself and the team are very proud of the Cleo episode. It’s another original take on an issue that affects so many of our viewers. It’s incredibly moving to see how Cleo is forced to confront her illness.”

Hollyoaks airs these scenes on Wednesday, October 10 at 6.30pm on Channel 4.

Coming up on Coronation Street, Ali Neeson is furious when he finds out about Jude Appleton accepting money from Roy Cropper.

Already stressed-out over Cormac Truman’s death, Ali (James Burrows) is stunned when he discovers that Jude has taken thousands of pounds from Roy, who wants to fund his paramedic training.

Roy was hoping to find a way to thank Jude (Paddy Wallace) for “saving” him when he suffered an allergic reaction to a bee sting recently, unaware that Ali was the real hero.

Next week, Ali warns Jude to come clean and give Roy the money back, pointing out that it’s the right thing to do.

Backed into a corner and fearing Ali’s next move, Jude reluctantly gives Roy the money back, insisting that he can’t accept it. But will Jude have to keep an eye on Ali to stop him from exposing his deception?

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, October 1 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.

Over on Emmerdale, Cain Dingle is blocked from returning home just when his family need his support the most.

Next week’s episodes see Chas give birth to baby Grace and face the heartbreak of only spending a very short time with her before she passes away.

Although Cain tries to return home to see his sister and the rest of the Dingles, a misunderstanding in France lands him in big trouble.

Moira (Natalie J Robb) has to tell Charity and Debbie that Cain has been arrested on his trip and it’s not clear when he’ll be home. Will he miss the big Robron wedding too?

Emmerdale airs these scenes on Tuesday, October 2 at 7pm on ITV.
