Scarlett Moffatt 'won't diet before I'm A Celeb and is embracing her bodyshape'

The 28-year-old has been the victim of cruel online trolls who have targeted her weight in recent months, but she's determined not to let them get her down.

A friend told the Daily Star: "“Scarlett is over the fat-shamers and people who say nasty things for attention. She’s saying she is now just going to ‘own her curves’.

“Scarlett doesn’t need to be skinny to be famous – it’s her personality everyone loves.

“Finally, she’s getting that. She’s packing some great dresses and is going to just totally own being big and beautiful.”

Scarlett recently pulled out of the Great North Run at the last minute today after raising just £150 of her £5,000 target.

The telly star offered to give fans back their sponsorship money after revealing she was unable to race.

She had been due to join the other runners in Newcastle for the gruelling 13-mile course.

However, she pulled out with just minutes to go and posted an apology on her Gofundme.com page.

She wrote: "Unfortunately I can no longer take part in this year's run – instead I will be doing it next year.

"Thank you all so much for your donations.

"I have matched donations to date and have closed the donations on this page.

"I completely understand if you want your sponsorship back, which you can do by contacting the charity directly."

The star, who has just come back form a holiday in Cyprus, was raising money for the Angel Trust

She's an ambassador for the charity, which aims to provide community services in her native North East.

By the time she pulled out of the run this morning, Scarlett had raised just £150 of her £5,000 total.

The Gofundme pages revealed she had received donations from just 12 people since announcing her plans to take part in the half marathon.

When announcing her plans to race, she wrote on the page: "If you said to me 'Scarlett you're going to run a half marathon 13.2 miles'

"I'd have laughed and said I can't even run a bath! I'm the kind of person who doesn't even go on long walks let alone run.”
