Roxanne Pallett will need to show she's 'genuinely remorseful' to rescue career

The 36-year-old will return to TV for the first time next week since she falsely accused Ryan Thomas of punching her, but she has a long way to go before she’s forgiven by the public.

TV presenter and mind coach Anna Williamson believes that 2019 might be too soon for a comeback, although she will be seen on the pre-recorded Coach Trip on January 23.

Speaking to the Daily Star, she said: “A comeback for 2019 is risky.

"People aren’t quick to forgive such a potentially damaging error for another, and if she wants to regain some sort of credibility she will have to work hard on getting the public back on side."

The expert added: “Being genuinely remorseful and having a clear plan on what she wants to achieve with her year is key.

"Whether potential employers and colleagues will give her another chance remains to be seen.

"It will take some careful and expert PR handling to turn this around so soon, and Roxanne needs to be in a strong and supported place mentally and physically to weather the storm."

Roxanne is currently starring in Celebrity Coach Trip – five months after her Celebrity Big Brother punch-gate scandal.

The former Emmerdale actress filmed the show alongside George Sampson before her disastrous stint on CBB.

Actor Ryan Thomas playfully shadowboxed Roxanne on the show, and despite making minimal to no contact with her, it lead Roxanne to accuse him of beating her.

In an interview with CBB host Emma Willis after quitting the house, Roxanne called herself the most “hated woman in Britain” and said she was “scared about her future”.
