Philip Schofield and wife Stephanie visit Declan Donnelly and Ali Astall at home with baby gifts six weeks after daughter Isla is born

The pair turned up laden with gifts for the Geordie TV star’s wife Ali Astall and their baby daughter Isla.

Dec and Ali welcomed Isla into the world last month, with their celebrity pals inundating the pair with messages of congratulations.

Phil, 56, and Stephanie looked proud as punch at being invited to pop in to visit the little girl.

Stephanie grinned as she carefully handed her husband a large box, which had been wrapped with pretty pink paper.

The pair spent some quality time with Dec and Ali, who will soon jet off to Australia with Isla to start filming I’m A Celebrity.

Ant, who will not be joining Dec on screen this year, was the first star to meet Isla and admitted he was completely smitten.

Dec is believed to be taking Ali and Isla with him so he can make sure he spends quality time with the pair during the tot’s precious first few month.

He will be joined by Holly Willoughby and her family Down Under as she stands in for Ant.

Alongside Phillip on today’s episode of This Morning, Holly said goodbye and said she was gearing up to relocate in the next few weeks.

During the episode, Holly was forced to have a go at a BushTucker Trial and it was a lot worse than she imagined.

The 37-year-old squealed her way through the challenge, which involved her putting her hands into boxes to feel mystery items inside, including a toy spider and kittens, a far cry from I'm A Celebrity's critter-filled tasks.

Afterwards Dec said she was worse than Gillian McKeith, who became renowned for her terror during trials when she was in the jungle back in 2010.

Talking about the upcoming show and working with Holly, Dec joked: “What the heck are we in for?”

Holly said she was excited about her new adventure and ask fans to take care of Phil while she was away.
