Joined by family and friends in glamorous and exotic Morocco, the English-born Australian actress was overjoyed to celebrate turning 50-years-old.
And the Oscar winning star certainly celebrated in style – with a dramatic sunset bathing her in golden sunlight and a feast put on by candlelight.
Wearing a sequinned kaftan, Naomi shared moments of her big day via social media.
“Pure Joy,” she wrote as she shared one photo of herself in the setting sunshine via Instagram.
She also shared a photo of a caravan of camels – seemingly carrying her friends.
“I will never forget this night,” the actress added.
Naomi was born in Shoreham in Keny before emigrating to Australia as a child.
Her older brother is the photographer Ben Watts – and he marked Naomi’s birthday by sharing photos from their childhood in England.
“Happy birfday @naomiwatts,” he wrote as he shared a collage of images on Instagram.
“Big celebration tonight thanks for this snap from From old days in shoreham Kent pic by @overmanmichele #happybirthday #naomiwatts,” he added.
Photos included a very young Naomi sporting bobbed blonde hair – with other images showing her over the years.
Other well-known stars in the montage included Aussie actress Nicole Kidman – who was also in Morocco to help Naomi celebrate.
While Naomi’s former boyfriend Live Schreiber, 50, also featured among the images.
The former couple dated for 11 years between 2005 and 2016.
They also have two sons together – Alexander ‘Sasha’ Pete who was born in July 2007 and Samuel ‘Sammy’ Kai who was born in December 2008.
