A stuntman working on the TV show MacGyver has suffered a serious head injury while working on set.
As reported by Deadline, Justin Sundquist was hurt during a stunt that involved two different vehicles. It’s thought he was conscious after the accident and put into a medically induced coma.
Sundquist apparently remains hospitalised, while production on the show has continued as normal.
CBS TV Studios issued a statement that reads: “We have learned about an injury to stunt coordinator Justin Sundquist that occurred late Monday on the set of MacGyver in Atlanta.
“The production team is cooperating with the authorities investigating the accident, and our primary concern at this time is Justin’s health and well-being.”
Sundquist had previously sued CBS and its TV production arm for an unrelated accident on the set of Hawaii Five-0.
The reboot of the popular 1980s series MacGyver began in 2016 and stars Lucas Till, who famously played Havok in the most recent X-Men movie trilogy and was the love interest in Hannah Montana: The Movie.
Earlier this year, CBS renewed MacGyver alongside its fellow Friday night show Hawaii Five-O and Blue Bloods.
The network confirmed today (August 22) that the upcoming 12th season of its hugely popular sitcom The Big Bang Theory is definitely going to be its last.
