It was recently confirmed that Love Island couple Charlie Brake and Ellie Brown had parted ways, and now the latter has spoken out to clear a few things up.
Posting on her Instagram Story, Ellie rubbished reports suggesting that she “brought this on [herself]”, stating that she adored Charlie from the bottom of her heart.

The message reads: “Hi guys. Firstly I just want to say a massive thank you to everybody who has sent me lots of love since Tuesday but I beg you to please stop coming to me with articles that claim I brought this on myself.
“I am trying to deal with this as best and as quietly as possible but it is hard and if you really believe that you are just as cowardly as the person who said it. By no means am I saying I was the perfect girlfriend but I adored Charlie from the bottom of my heart and he knows that.
“I know everybody is waiting for a comment from me on this whole situation but I really just don’t know what to say.”
Judging by this, it looks like 2018 Love Islanders are continuing to part ways amicably, with the likes of Laura Anderson and Paul Knops plus Laura Crane and Jack Fowler confirming their splits recently.
Don’t worry though – Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham are very much still going strong.
