The 41-year-old star even had dance lessons before they filmed Tracy finally getting hitched to Steve McDondal (Simon Gregson) but they didn't stop her fear of waltzing aroundin the spotlight.
She told The Daily Star: "I was dreading it. I can't dance and Simon's not a dancer either. But we did our best.
"We had two lessons beforehand and we had the choreographer on set. Tracy and Steve aren't dancers, so it didn't really matter.
"And sometimes those things you dread actually end up being more fun."
Kate was surprised that she had a good time during her whirl around the room with co-star Simon.
She added: "We do part of the dance and we ended up really enjoying it… not that I've been tempted to take it up. I just can't dance."
Kate's confession comes after she opened up about her painful battle with endometriosis.
She was left bedridden after her condition flared up, leaving her in great discomfort.
Sharing her sympathy with other sufferers, she wrote on Twitter: "To all those other women suffering from #endometriosis i feel your pain. All plans cancelled for today and I’m off to bed."
Kate's fans flocked to support her in the comments, suggesting remedies and telling her not to blame herself.
The star revealed last June that she'd secretly been battling the condition.
She opened up about her illness in a candid post on Twitter, revealing life with the painful condition is "not easy".
Kate, who first appeared in Corrie in 2002, married TV producer Jon Connerty in 2007.
They became parents to a son named Otis in 2008, but their relationship broke down and the couple parted ways in 2013.
The actress previously told The Sun of the split: "We really tried hard to make it work. But it came to the point when we knew we had to get a divorce… For a while after we split, I found it hard to get out of bed."
