Who is Sarah Parish?
Sarah Parish was born in Somerset on June 7, 1968 and lives in Hampshire.
Her brother is musician John Parish.
Sarah cites her first stage performance as her role in pantomime aged two, she later attended the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts in London.
Sarah married James Murray in 2007, she gave birth to their first daughter in January 2009, however, she sadly passed away at eight months old.
The couple later had their second daughter Nell.
Her husband is also a British actor, having found initial fame in Coronation Street in 1998.
What has Sarah Parish been in?
Parish first found fame through The Bill in 1994, since then she's featured in Atlantic, Trollied and Doctor Who.
Her big film and TV hits include The Wedding Date, The Holiday as Hannah, Cutting It and Recovery.
Sarah also starred in Broadchurch alongside David Tennant.
In 2017, she was starring in the new ITV drama Bancroft.
She and her husband raised £5.1m to build a paediatric A&E unit at University Hospital South Hampton in memory of their daughter. They recently appeared on This Morning to speak about the project.
How did Sarah Parish break her leg?
Sarah Parish was rushed to hospital at the start of March 2018 after shattering her leg while trying to snowboard on a "cheap plastic sledge" as the UK was lashed with wintry conditions.
The Broadchurch star was left facing major surgery after taking a terrifying fall in a horror sledging accident.
Paramedics were called to the scene after Sarah, 49, was involved in the horrific accident during a day out in the snow with her eight-year-old daughter.
She was taken to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester, where her leg was put in a splint, and she told fans she was facing a gruelling operation to fix the broken bone with a pin.
In a post on Instagram, she wrote: "Day 2 in Winchester Hospital. Looks like I’ll be operated on today.
"They’re putting a bloody great big pin right through my shin!!
"No sleep last night, was on enough Morphine to knock the Navy out but still in pain…
"Note to self: cheap plastic sledges are for sitting in and gently trundling down primary slopes NOT a substitute for a stand up snowboard."
