Hollyoaks‘ hottest love triangle will step up a gear when a twist of fate sees Sylver McQueen lined up to move in with Russ and Mercedes at The Dog.
Russ has just bought the pub in a desperate attempt to save his relationship with Mercedes, but Sylver (David Tag) is still waiting in the wings to throw a spanner in the works.
Upcoming episodes see Mercedes start to enjoy the power of being landlady – especially when it comes to figuring out who’ll get the spare room at The Dog.
Mercedes and Russ decide to pick who the lucky McQueen will be by pinning up pictures of them on a dartboard – whoever the dart lands on will secure the room.
Breda is annoyed when she realises that Sylver hasn’t been included as an option, so she urges Mercedes to play fair by putting him in the mix.
Sure enough, the dart lands on Sylver – but does this mean he’ll be moving in with Mercedes and Russ, leading to a highly awkward situation at the pub? Or can Mercedes find a way out of this?
Jennifer Metcalfe, who plays Mercedes, teased: “Mercedes is trying to convince herself that Russ is the right one and Sylver’s not an option, but they can’t deny their chemistry.
“He knows her better than anyone else, she almost can’t hide around him.”
On Russ’s decision to buy the pub for Mercedes, she added: “It was a massive apology, and I think it’s a short-term fix. I personally think all grand gestures wear off eventually.”
Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
