Julie returned last night's E4 first-look episode – but will be seen again tonight when it airs on Channel 4 at 6:30pm.
It turns out that Tony Hutchinson – played by Nick Pickard – has been hiding out with his old flame Julia Matthews – played by Buckfield – since he ran away from the village in July.
Tony fled the family home because he was struggling to deal with the pressure of his daughter Dee Dee's illness.
When it's revealed Dee Dee's treatment isn't working, Ste – played by Kieron Richardson – tries to track Tony down.
He posts a video on social media begging him to come home.
Ste receives a message from someone claiming to be Tony and goes with Diane to meet him.
But 'Tony' failed to shop up to the meeting – so Ste was forced to turn detective.
He went around knocking on doors, and evetnually ended up at Julie's house.
Even though Julie denied seeing Tony, she asked how Dee Dee was getting on and took an interest in her condition.
When Ste finally left, Julie confronts Tony and demands to know why she told him Dee Dee had died.
Julie appeared in the first episode of Hollyoaks back in 1995. She left in 1997, but made brief returns in 2002 and in 2007. And viewers were delighed to see her back last nigght.
