Gemma Collins insured for £5million on Dancing On Ice and will be loaded if she breaks bones on show

The Towie star, 37, has been insured for £5million while she takes to the ice.

She told the Daily Star: "I'm insured for a lot of money – £5million. So if I do go down I've had a result.

"I'm not planning to go down, though. I have fallen in rehearsals. I busted my knees twice. But I just get up and carry on."

Yesterday it was revealed Gemma has come off Whatsapp due to stress after she was inundated with messages asking for tickets to Dancing On Ice.

The Essex girl will be making her debut on the ice skating show this weekend and it seems everyone wants a piece of the action – so much so her boyfriend James Argent has had to step in.

The Towie star took to Instagram and pleaded with friends: "Gemma only has 6 tickets for DOI each week. Including me, family, friends, management, etc.”

He continued: "Please understand and don't take it personal if she can't get you one. She's had to come off Whatsapp because of people driving her mad. She needs to concentrate fully on her routine and no added pressure."

It comes after Phillip Schofield revealed Gemma was no longer dancing to a Venga Boys song after kicking off in rehearsals.

The star threatened to quit the show when her skating partner Matt Evers told her she would be skating to We Like To Party.

She firmly said: "I'm not coming out to that.

"You are joking. I'm leaving the show. Is this a joke? No, I'm leaving the show."

Gemma has made no secret of the fact she’s been struggling to sleep with nerves ahead of the launch show.

She recently admitted she has cried “a million and one times” during her training.

"Let's be honest, it's been really hard. Possibly the hardest thing any of us have ever done. It's been so hard, mentally and physically tiring, but it's been amazing,” she said.

"I've cried a million and one times. Just because you want to do it and then you get frustrated. You have to chip away at it. We've been doing two hours every day all of us, and it's been amazing.”
