Emmerdale’s Rebecca finally escapes but burning question still needs answering

Rebecca White finally escaped and was reunited with her baby son in tonight’s Emmerdale.

The young mother has been missing for months after being taken captive by evil Lachlan White.

Just about everyone, including Robert Sugden, had given up all hope of ever seeing her again.

So it came as a massive shock when Rebecca appeared in the graveyard like an actual ghost.

Robert was upset that Seb would not have anywhere to pay his respects to his mum with Rebecca’s body still missing.

Fiancé Aaron suggested planting a tree next to his mum Sarah’s grave.

Robert said it was a “perfect” idea, while Victoria added that she would have loved being part of the family.

There was then a massive shock as Rebecca, draped in a flowing white gown, suddenly appeared across the graveyard.

The stunned Sugdens and Aaron rushed over to hug Rebecca.

She looked overjoyed to be reunited with Seb and couldn’t keep her eyes off her baby.

The thrilling cliffhanger did leave a number of major questions that still need answering.

Rebecca somehow managed to return to the village on her own, without sinister nurse Mrs Sykes.

The last time we saw Rebecca before she returned, the strange nurse was approaching her with a needle.

By the time Robert burst into the room, when Lachlan eventually revealed her whereabouts, the pair were gone.

There were fears that Rebecca may have been killed as there were signs of a struggle and her blood inside.

With Rebecca still suffering from bouts of memory loss because of her head injury, it remains to be seen if she can provide the answers.

What happened to Mrs Sykes? And what does Rebecca’s reappearance mean for Lachlan?

Confused Emmerdale viewers took to Twitter with their questions.

One viewer said: "Literally how the f*** did she find her way back to #Emmerdale??

Another added: "So how the hell did she make it back?"

A third said: "How the f*** did she manag to get there?? I’m so confused. So many questions."
