As the week kicks off Jacob – played by teen star Joe-Warren Plant in the ITV soap – is left feeling humiliated as Liv Flaherty insists to David Metcalfe and Aaron Dingle that Jacob has been lying about their relationship.
Liv tells them that she and Jacob are just friends and Jacob is left feeling even worse when dad David – who is currently dating Maya – pulls him up on his lies.
Maya – Louisa Clein – then confronts Jacob and asks him if he lied about him and Liv to make her jealous. Jacob tried to avoid eye contact with Maya as she grills him, leaving her certain that she’s hit the nail on the head.
Then – when Jacob admits the truth – Maya tells him she’s flattered and kisses him.
Jacob is stunned but as Maya pulls away, she rushes out, confused and horrified by what she just initiated.
The next day she confronts Jacob and makes it clear that what happened was a mistake and no one can ever find out that she kissed him.
She tells him that she could lose her job over it and Jacob is left with conflicting emotions about his teacher slash step-mum.
Maya then decides it’s best if she moves out but when Jacob sees how terrible it makes David feel, he’s wracked with guilt.
Jacob tells Maya how guilty he feels and she agrees that David should know the truth.
Will they really confess to David about their kiss?
And what will the repercussions be for Maya if they do?
