The character, played by Emma Atkins, went to see her dad Obadiah during tonight’s episode after being estranged since she was kicked out age 13.
But despite the incredibly moving storyline as she confronted him about her troubled past, those watching at home were distracted by how much Downton Abbey actor Paul Copley looked like Corbyn.
One person tweeted: “#Emmerdale . Who would have thought Jeremy Corbyn was Charity's Dad.”
Another added: “Charity’s dad looks like Jeremy Corbyn!!! Omfg #Emmerdale.”
While someone else wrote: “I see Jeremy Corbyn is in #Emmerdale.”
Charity and her father haven’t had a relationship since he forced her to give her newborn daughter away and then threw her out.
It was during this time she ended up on the streets, where she was found and groomed by PC Mark Bails.
Bail ended up raping her and allowing his friends to rape her – but is now behind bars for his crimes.
Charity is however struggling to come to terms with her past and was hoping her dad could shed some light.
During the chat he revealed her mum Kathleen had taken her own and not died of cancer like Charity had been told.
He said: “She left a note. She took a car up to the cliff, somebody saw and then she was gone.
“That is why I stopped going to the beach with you and started going to the pub instead.”
