Emmerdale fans baffled as they spot advert for I'm A Celebrity onscreen during the show

Viewers urged ITV bosses to ditch the banner which stayed onscreen for the first few minutes of the show.

After Emmerdale kicked off, a white logo advertising that it's six days until the launch of the jungle show could be seen in the top right hand corner of the screen.

It stayed there for several minutes before eventually disappearing.

Viewers flocked to Twitter to declare they'd spotted the ad and they didn't want it onscreen while they were trying to watch all the drama.

One wrote: "Oi, I don't want an advert for I'm A Celeb during Emmerdale thank you, wait until half time or the end of the show!! #Emmerdale."

Another tweeted: "#Emmerdale Please get rid of the #imacelebrity banner in the top right of the screen……. For good!"

A third wrote: "Do we really need the I’m a cel ad stuck on the screen ?? #emmerdale."

The ad did not reappear after the mid-show ad break.

I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here returns to ITV next Sunday night.

The Sun previously revealed this year's line-up includes footie legend Harry Redknapp and pop star Fleur East.

It will be co-hosted by Declan Donnelly and Holly Willoughby, who is stepping in to replace Ant McPartlin while he takes time off to battle personal problems.

The stars started arriving in the jungle over the weekend ahead of the launch at the end of the week.

Holly has also been seen spending time with her longtime pal Dec.
