Cheryl joins Strictly Come Dancing stars for training

Strictly Come Dancing couple Lauren Steadman and AJ Pritchard had a special guest at their training session on Thursday (November 22), popstar Cheryl.

Both Lauren and AJ shared a pic with the singer on their Instagrams, with Lauren writing: “Cheeky Selfie in Training.”

No other clues were giving as to why Cheryl showed up at the training session, but maybe all will be revealed on Saturday night’s live show.

It’s been a trying week for Cheryl following her live TV comeback on last Sunday’s X Factor results show.

According to the Daily Mail at least 45 people have now complained about her performance, which featured the singer licking the tattoo on her hand.

Since her performance, Cheryl herself has hit out at all the “relentless abuse” she has received, writing on Instagram: “I let a lot of things lie but the sheer level of unbalanced negativity towards me in the tabloid press these past few days has been quite frankly shocking and I need to address it.”

Meanwhile Lauren and AJ will be performing a salsa to Liam Payne and J Balvin’s ‘Familiar’ on Saturday night’s Strictly.

Elsewhere Ashley Roberts and Pasha Kovalev will be doing the Samba to Arrow’s ‘Hot Hot Hot’, while Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton are doing the paso doble to Brian Setzer’s ‘Malaguena’.

Faye Tozer and Giovanni Pernice will be performing the waltz to ‘See the Day’ by Dee C Lee, while Charles Venn and Karen Clifton will be dancing to Big Country’s version of ‘Eleanor Rigby’ (originally by The Beatles).

Graeme Swann and Oti Mabuse will do the quickstep to The Andrews Sisters’ ‘Sing Sing Sing’, and Joe Sugg and Dianne Buswell are dancing street and commercial as part of their Couple’s Choice, with House of Pain’s ‘Jump Around’ as the music.

Strictly Come Dancing next airs on Saturday (November 24) at 6.50pm on BBC One.
