The former footballer has landed himself in hot water after putting on a flirty display with the 21-year-old model over the last week, despite being married.
Chloe, 21, had no idea the 35-year-old had a wife on the outside until she was evicted from the show last night, and subsequently branded his behaviour "disgusting".
But clearly trying to justify his actions, Jermaine spent tonight's episode repeatedly going on about "banter" to anyone who would listen, and viewers had had enough.
Taking to Twitter in their droves, fans of the show laid into Jermaine and demanded he stopped saying the word.
One wrote: "If Jermaine scored as many goals as he said the word banter he wouldn't be on this programme. T***".
Another added: "If you took a shot for every time Jermaine said banter, you'd be dead before the episode ended."
A third agreed, tweeting: "After #cbb is finished I never want to hear 'banter' again!" while a fourth shared: "Jermaine can't say 'banter' enough. Doesn't matter how many times you say it Jermaine you're fooling no-one."
Others used gifs to illustrate their frustration with his overuse of the word.
One shared an image of an angry kid, writing: "If I hear 'banter' one more time. Jermaine is pure scum."
Another used a shot from Friends of Chandler Bing shouting shut up a number of times, writing above it: "Seriously with the #banter Jermaine #cbb."
A third used a gif of previous CBB housemate Kim Woodburn pointing her finger and saying "Filth".
They wrote above it: "If I hear the word BANTER one more time to try and excuse his behaviour, I'm going to scream."
A number of fans also drew comparisons to Love Island's Georgia Steel's use of the world "loyal" during her time on the ITV2 show, which drove fans mad this summer.
One wrote: "Jermaine is to banter as Georgia is to loyal #cbb #sayingitmakesittrue."
Another tweeted: "Are @georgias_steel and @pennant83 related?? Starting to see a theme here… #loyal #banter #cbb #LoveIsland."
A third shared: "I can't cope…we had repeats of 'I'm LOYAL babe' in Love Island. Now the catchphrase is 'it's just BANTER' in @bbuk #cbb."
A fourth agreed, writing: "Jermaine saying 'banter' is the new Georgia saying 'loyal'."
