OTHER INCREDIBLE PIZZA RESTAURANTS IN THE UK

Don’t want to follow the TripAdvisor crowds to a pizza joint?

There are some other top notch UK pizzerias well worth checking out that aren’t on the site’s top 10 list.

Let’s begin by turning to eateries that received gongs at the National Pizza Awards.

Earlier this month it distributed awards for pizza of the year, pizza chef of the year and the technical pizza award.

Scooping the pizza of the year award was vegan pizza restaurant Purezza, in Camden, north London, which impressed judges with its ‘parmigiana party’ dish.

Pizza chef of the year was named as Luigi Marino, who works at Tre Ciccio in Altrincham, Manchester.

The technical pizza award when to Marco Fuso, who makes traditional Neapolitan pizza at the Baked and Battered restaurant in Surrey.

Meanwhile Purezza picked up a second award, the special prize of the Salvo 1968 Mystery Box for its Autumn in London pizza.

Then there’s the London branch of Naples’ famed L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele at 199 Baker Street, NW1.

Some say that no where on the planet serves better pizza.

The Naples outlet rose to global fame after it appeared in the Julia Roberts movie Eat Pray Love.
