Dozens of customers have taken to Twitter to complain about the site being down due to maintenance.
Passengers have reacted with fury because it means they can not check in.
A message on the site reads: "Our site is currently down for maintenance."
Customers have 48 hours to check in online or they face being charged £55 to check in at the airport, or £25 for infants.
One flyer said: "Was charged £55/pp (on a @Ryanair flight that cost £46/pp return).
"Customer service, both online and on the phone, refused to acknowledge the website being down and/or having the ability to check in online.
"Think that's called scamming people for having a shoddy website #ryanair"
Other flyers have hit out at Ryanair having a an early Black Friday sale while making its website unavailable.
One million seats were made available at a £30 discount today and the airline will be offering different discounts each day this week.
One customer tweeted: "Typical Ryanair put a sale on then close their website for maintenance and coincidentally the app has an 'error'. Good one."
The Sun Online has contacted Ryanair for an explanation and is awaiting a reply.
