Thinking about a quick getaway to the Bahamas? Our latest Cruise Ship Tour offers a deck-by-deck look at one of two cruise vessels operating super-short, two-day trips to the island nation from Florida: The 1,486-passenger Grand Celebration.
Operated by three-year-old Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line, the former Carnival Cruise Line ship sails from Palm Beach to Grand Bahama Island in tandem with the slightly bigger Grand Classica to provide daily departures.
Originally unveiled in 1987, the 47,263-ton Grand Celebration had a storied history with Carnival for more than three decades and also sailed briefly for Carnival sister line Costa Cruises before transferring to Bahamas Paradise. As can be seen in the tour, it features nine passenger decks including a teak-lined Sun Deck and lovely, teak-lined promenade. Its interior offers multiple bars, lounges, eateries, a casino and spa.
