Rumored Google Smartwatch Could Come with AI Health Coach

A new Google smartwatch that uses artificial intelligence may be able to serve as personal trainer, nutrition coach and wellness assistant, Android Police reported.

The tech giant is developing a health-focused personal assistant called Google Coach that will run in any Wear OS smartwatch but will likely accompany a new Pixel Watch launch from the company, The Verge reported.

In the gym, your assistant will offer workout routines, track progress, and recommend suggestions for missed workouts. For health-conscious diners, Coach will provide restaurant recommendations based on location and past eating history. Meal preppers can rely on Coach to create weekly meal plans and shopping lists, Android Police writes.

Of course, you’re probably already tired of receiving a zillion notifications a day, so Google will streamline the process to avoid information overload. Instead of separate notifications telling you when it’s time to drink water and take more steps, several reminders will be sent in one message.

Since Google hasn’t released any official information, these details could change, or just be rumors. According to The Verge, the Google smartwatch will likely debut this fall. Until then, you’ll have to get by on your Apple watch or FitBit.
