Price of fancy mattresses slashed for Black Friday – here’s all the best deals

Mattresses often outlive our beds, so when it comes to buying a new one, it’s worth picking wisely.

Especially as they don’t come cheap. Even the cheapest ones will set you back about £50, such as this basic £120 one from Ikea.

Memory foam mattresses are massive at the moment, with an array of different brands selling luxury offerings that claim to keep your body properly supported and come guaranteed with a good night’s sleep.

But with so many to pick from, if you’re not sure which one to take the leap and opt for, we’ve rounded up the very best mattresses below, with both memory foam, wool and your usual spring options.

As it’s almost Black Friday, retailers all across the country are cutting their prices, making the luxury item slightly more afforable. We’ve got the lowdown on all the best deals below.

Best Black Friday mattress deals

  • £140 off the Leesa mattress with the code BLACKFRIDAY from now up until 11.59 on the 23rd November.

1. Emma Mattress, £429

Perhaps one of our favourite things about this is that when there’s two people in the bed, you don’t feel any of the weight and dips from the other person, meaning sleeping alongside your favourite person is just as comfortable as sleeping alone.

It’s also one of the mattresses with the 100 night sleep trial, meaning that if you don’t like it, you can easily return it for a full refund.

2. Leesa Premium Foam mattress, £450

Made in Derbyshire from three layers of foam – all in different densities, this provides great spinal support for people thanks to its sturdy yet comfortable structure. The stable structure also means that no other part of the bed moves when you move.

They also operate a One-Ten programme, as for every 10 mattresses sold, Leesa donates one to charities that support organisations serving the homeless or at-risk men, women and children, and has since donated over 30,000. Leesa also offer the 100 day free trial.

Get it from the Leesa website for £310 (Black Friday code already applied which gets you £140 off the Leesa mattress with the code BLACKFRIDAY from now up until 11.59 on the 23rd November).

3. Nectar Sleep mattress, £299

Going for coolness rather than contour, Nectar Sleep mattresses combine your usual memory foam and gel memory foam, for a not too hard and not to soft but always glorious good night’s sleep.

There’s free UK mainland delivery included (as long as it’s on Monday – Friday), as well as free removal of your old mattress, making it all as easy as possible.

Get it from Nectar from £299. Get £100 off Nectar sleep and two free premium pillows from now until the 31st December for Black Friday.

4. Simba hybrid, £379

A UK start up, these mattresses famously come vacuum packed, and have a little layer of memory foam for added support.

One of the best things about it is that it comes with a 100 night sleep trial (although plenty of others in this round up also do too), meaning that if it’s not for you, you can claim your money back.

5. Eve mattress, £349

Comfortable, breathable, and very brightly coloured, this moulds to your shape as you move about throughout the night.

As well as the 100 day sleep trial, you’ll also get a 10 year warranty, because they’re that convinced of its greatness.

Get it from the Eve mattress website for £349.

6. Casper mattress, £375

Another modern mattress that arrives in a handy compact box, make sure you have this exactly where you want it before you unwrap it, as it can be very tricky to manoeuvre once its up.

Aimed to get the perfect balance between contoured support and comfort, the all-foam mattress has a cool temperature whilst retaining a healthy bounce. Casper were also the originators of the 100 day trial service and offer it on all their mattresses.

Get it from the Casper website for £375.

7. Dorset 5000 mattress, £863.20

There’s a good reason why wool was so widely renowned back in the day, still being one of the most breathable fabrics of all. Woolroom mattresses have all natural fillings with no synthetics, and are completely hand made.

The best thing about wool is that it self cleans, too, making it very different to memory foam ones that collect sweat and odours over the years or become damp if you sweat too much.

8. Duo mattress, £795

Everyone sleeps a little differently – even you to the love of your life

This is the ideal solution for couples who like very different things, as you can easily customise each side of the bed to suit you, while your partner does the same for them.

You can also swap your firmness at any time by using a handy zip, depending on what mood you’re in.

Get it from the Tweak Slumber website for £795

Plus, you’ll get a free sleep tracker worth £120 with ANY Tweak mattress (DUO and Nrem) purchase – just use the code TRACKMYSLEEP at the checkout.

9. Studio by Silent Night, £399

We don’t know whether this is the sign of a great or a bad mattress, but it takes almost a day for it to become truly comfortable.

However, once it’s all set up, it bounces back into place very clearly, meaning you’ll get no annoying pressure points when you sleep. You can also choose from soft, medium or firm to make sure you have the right one to fit you.

Get it from Wayfair for £307.99

10. Morgedal Ikea mattress, £165

Perhaps the reason that this offering is so much cheaper than the others is either the fact that it’s from Ikea, or that it’s essentially just a big block of foam.

But that’s not necessarily a bad thing, offering super structured support for muscles thanks to its cushioned structure.

11. Sealy Activ Latex 1400 Pocket Spring Mattress, £699

12. iGel Pegasus Mattress, £749

13. Nora mattress in a box, £359.99
