‘Life-changing’ keyboard trick discovered that makes typing much easier

There’s nothing more annoying than typing a long sentence out, only to discover that you’ve had Caps Lock on the whole time.

But help is at hand, thanks to a ‘life-changing’ keyboard trick that has been revealed on Twitter .

The trick was revealed in response to a tweet, which read: “Typing away only to realise cAPS LOCK HAS BEEN ACCIDENTALLY PUT ON AND YOU HAVE TO START THE WHOLE DAMN THING AGAIN.”

Rachel Hawkins, who works for a charity in Bristol, replied: “Highlight it all then shift + F3.”

While this shortcut only works on Outlook and Word, it’s been hailed as ‘life-changing’ by gobsmacked Twitter users.

One user replied: “This is f***ing life changing information! I was today years old when I learned this.”

Another said: “I’m trying this when I get home. If it works then I’m nominating you for person of the year or something!!”

And one joked: “Stuff Brexit – this is the sort of thing that should be on news at ten!”

Rachel’s shortcut will work on Outlook and Word for Windows.

However, if you’re using Word for Mac, you can change the case by selecting the text you want to change, and clicking on the Home tab, then Change Case.
