Byte app announced by Vine creator as new version of video-looping app

When Vine was shut down in 2017, there was uproar from fans who loved making looping videos through the app.

But now, fans will be happy to hear that a follow-up to Vine is set to launch, named Byte.

The app will be similar to Vine, and was announced by Dom Hofmann, co-founder of Vine.

Mr Hofmann tweeted: “Our new looping video app is called Byte. Launching Spring 2019.”

The news has been welcomed with open arms from fans on Twitter.

Heyyoo tweeted: “I downloaded tik tok to help fill the void in my heart vine left… I am so excited about Byte. This better not fail bc I can’t go back to using tik tok as if it were vine because it is not.”
