Wincanton races tips, racecard, declarations and preview for the Badger Ales Trophy card live on Racing UK this Saturday

We've got all you need to know about the big race and the rest of the card right here.

Race 1 – 12.40 EBF Stallions "National Hunt" Novices' Hurdle

GRAND SANCY couldn't handle the winner in Listed company at Kempton last time out but should be too good for these. He has to carry a penalty but his form is better than that of his rivals and this can begin a good day for Paul Nicholls.

Shiroccan Roll also has some decent form and will undoubtedly be the main danger, while Brigade Of Guards could improve to snatch third.

Verdict – 1. Grand Sancy 2. Shiroccan Roll 3. Brigade Of Guards

Race 2 – 1.15 Ann Westwood Memorial Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Chase

Paul Nicholls could have a quick double with serial second-placer CAPELAND. He's got to race from the top of the handicap but he's got the best jockey in the race on board in Bryony Frost and this probably won't take much winning.

Ballinure needs to prove he's back in from but he'll love the ground and has a bit of class about him. In-form Emma Lavelle can pick up third spot with Buster Thomas.

Verdict – 1. Capeland 2. Ballinure 3. Buster Thomas

Race 3 – 1.50 Hunts Food Service Mares' Handicap Hurdle

LITTLE MISS POET won nicely at the track back in May and fitness is unlikely to be an issue coming from the Philip Hobbs yard. Richard Johnson gets the leg up and there should be more to come under conditions that look ideal.

Aisling O'Connor takes off a handy 5lb on Litterale Ci, who struck in a decent little race at Newton Abbot in September, and she can pick up second spot.

Miss Crick needed the outing last time and still looks well enough handicapped to get in the places.

Verdict – 1. Little Miss Poet 2. Litterale Ci 3. Miss Crick

Race 4 – 2.25 Jockey Club Ownership Syndicate "Rising Stars" Novices' Chase (Grade 2)

Only two really count for win purposes, with BAGS GROOVE just shading Secret Investor for top spot. Harry Fry's improving seven-year-old won at Ffos Las last time out in a pretty decent novice chase and has the benefit of chasing experience over his main rival.

Paul Nicholls' lightly-raced sort is surely capable of going far in this sphere, and his win in the Persian War last time out was a very good effort. A wind op looked to have a made a difference then and he has more to come.

Majestic Moll was impressive in lesser company at Worcester last time and can nab third spot.

Verdict – 1. Bags Groove 2. Secret Investor 3. Majestic Moll

Race 5 – 3.00 Unibet Elite Hurdle (Grade 2)

A cracking line-up this year and much depends on the fitness of We Have A Dream. If he's able to produce his best then he should take this prize, but that's not guaranteed and he takes on a couple of classy, race-fit rivals.

VERDANA BLUE could be the one to foil her stablemate. The six-year-old mare won very easily at Kempton last time, having bolted up at Chelmsford previously, and she looks a performer on the up. This is her acid test but she could well prove up to the task.

If The Cap Fits could be capable of anything and it's interesting his trainer has opted to go down this route than exploit what may be a favourable mark in the Greatwood.

Verdict – 1. Verdana Blue 2. We Have A Dream 3. If The Cap Fits

Race 6 – 3.35 Badger Ales Trophy Handicap Chase (Listed)

BIGBADJOHN can win again on top of the ground in the feature handicap of the day. He improved markedly last time out under these conditions and has more to come for Nigel Twiston-Davies. He's on a good mark and we know he performs on the track.

Forever Field should be suited by this test and can take second spot.

Charlie Longsdon has been good form of late and can pick up third with Aunty Ann. Jock Jordan Nailor removes a handy 7lb.

Verdict – 1. Bigbadjohn 2. Forever Field 3. Aunty Ann

Race 7 – 4.10 Jaytrack Employee Day Intermediate Open National Hunt Flat Race

This doesn't look a particularly strong bumper and perhaps JEREMIAH JAMES can do the business first time out. Harry Fry has a good record in this type of race and this one is nicely bred.

Myboysam has a decent chance if returning to the form of his first outing last year, while Supreme Soviet can probably go close.

Verdict – 1. Jeremiah James 2. Myboysam 3. Supreme Soviet
