Maroon 5

Maroon 5 will be headlining the Super Bowl 2019 halftime show.

The LA band fronted by Adam Levine are known for their hits such as Moves Like Jagger, Maps, Animals and Sugar.

So far they've acheived three Grammy awards and sold over 53 million albums worldwide.

Their 2017 number one single Girls Like You ft. Cardi B is the longest-running song on the Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 and the most watched video on the YouTube channel Vevo in 2018.

And Payphone, featuring Wiz Khalifa, saw them rack up their only No1 single in the UK.

They've also had five top 10 UK albums with Songs About Jane and It Won't Be Soon Before Long reaching number one.

Travis Scott

Travis Scott, 26, is a rapper from Houston, Texas.

He got his first record deal with Epic Records in 2012 before signing with Kanye West's label GOOD Music.

So far he's released three studio albums, two mixtapes and a collaborative album with Quavo.

Album Astroworld peaked at No3 in the UK charts in 2018 and his highest ranking single was No9 hit Sicko Mode.

He is currently dating Kylie Jenner with whom he has a daughter, Stormi.

Big Boi

Antwan André Patton, 43, aka Big Boi, is a rapper from Savannah, Georgia.

He's best known for being one half of hip-hop duo Outkast along with André 3000.

He collaborated with Kelly Rowland on the track Mama Told Me from his second album in 2012.

His latest album Boomiverse was released in 2017, and he's had two top 40 hits in the UK with A.D.I.D.A.S. and Shutterbugg.

A release from NFL stated: "Maroon 5, Travis Scott, and Big Boi join an esteemed list of recent halftime acts including Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Coldplay, Katy Perry, Missy Elliott, Lenny Kravitz, Bruno Mars, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Madonna, Nicki Minaj, The Who, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Prince, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, U2 and many more."

It went on to add that the Super Bowl halftime show is the "most-watched musical event of the year".
