USA TODAY Sports college football staff picks for Week 11

Is this finally the week for a big upset?

No. 1 Alabama and No. 2 Clemson look to be cruising toward an inevitable collision in the College Football Playoff championship game. Both have only one ranked team left on the schedule in the final three weeks before their respective conference title games. Those tests come Saturday.

The Crimson Tide will host No. 15 Mississippi State. While the offensively challenged Bulldogs might not fit the profile of a team that can outscore the Tide, they do have the defense to slow down Tua Tagovailoa. And if Alabama has a bit of a letdown after it's impressive showing at LSU, things could get interesting.

The Tigers travel to No. 14 Boston College for a night game with a weather forecast of below-40 temperatures and lots of wind. The Eagles are hoping running back AJ Dillon will be healthy enough to play. The preseason ACC player of the year has been dinged up, but his talent will test the vaunted Clemson defense.
