The players Mourinho was scouting as he watched international clash

Jose Mourinho has put speculation over his Manchester United future to one side by making a trip to Podgorica.

The Portuguese boss was in the stands to watch the UEFA Nations League clash between Montenegro and Serbia.

It was revealed last week that Mourinho would be in attendance, despite United midfielder Nemanja Matic being ruled out for Serbia through injury.

Serbia were victors in the encounter as Newcastle striker Aleksandr Mitrovic found the net twice.

But there is speculation over quite who Mourinho was watching as he was pictured in the stands speaking to former Real Madrid striker Predrag Mijatovic.

United were heavily linked with Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic in the summer but did not follow up an initial interest.

The midfielder was a surprising substitute in the UEFA Nations League clash as he came on for the final 10 minutes, replacing another possible target Mijat Gavrinovic.

Mourinho was reportedly also keeping an eye on defender Nikola Milenkovic.

The 20-year-old, who plays his club football with Fiorentina, has been dubbed the next Nemanja Vidic.
