Race-by-race preview and tips for Quirindi on Tuesday

Track Good 4 and Rail True so should play fairly even and on-pace early

Race 1 F & M MAIDEN HCP (1200m):

Newcastle filly 2. Wisama looks the testing material after just missing at Cessnock and then over-run by the promising Magpie at Pt Macquarie last start.Dangers: Well-bred Muswellbrook filly 4. Go Lassie Go has been given two quiet trials in preparation for her debut and from a smart first-up yard; while expect big improvement from Newcastle mare 3. She's Strong who was well backed on debut but didn't finish off.
How to play it: Wisama to win and quinella 2 and 4

Race 2 C, G & E MAIDEN HCP (1200m):

Now the boys turn and looks the right race for 3. Resinite who found the line nicely on debut at Tamworth. Natural improvement for strong stable and good draw make him the one to beat.Dangers: Mudgee-trained 1. The Warlord resumes off a runaway home trial win and looks a big threat. Raced against stronger over longer trips back in the autumn. Nice debut run from 5. Supreme Streak at Cessnock and stable is good with juveniles, but draws a wide gate. Include 10. Snippets Of Rain in exotics, form is just fair from nine starts, but draws the fence here for strong rider/trainer combination.
How to play it: Resinite to win and quinella 1 and 3

Race 3 CL3 HCP (1450m):

Typical level graded race, but with even luck, Newcastle-trained 3. I Can Hear Music looks well placed to return to the winner's stall. Hit the line really nicely last two runs at Scone and Muswellbrook, and while up in weight, this is a little weaker.Dangers: Newcastle mare 4. Flymia Miss comes out of that same Muswellbrook CL3 when finishing okay, but she was unwanted in the market. Tamworth mare 1. Such A Hussy won second-up at Coonabarabran and has as much ability as anything in the race, but cops a big weight hike and wide barrier; while Moree mare 2. Ready To Go Go has won two of her last three, but this is significantly stronger.
How to play it: I Can Hear Music to win and box trifecta 1-2-3-4

Race 4 CL1 & MAIDEN PLATE (1600m):

Open race over the mile, but Mudgee-trained 12. Regal Cannon is bursting to win his maiden. Arrived too late as a heavily-backed odds-on favourite last start behind El Rey Dorado who ran well again at Warren on Sunday, and before that powered home to just miss under 60kgs. Nicely weighted back down to 56kg and only needs reasonable tempo on up front to get over the top.Dangers: Newcastle filly 13. Without Conviction won her maiden two runs back at Pt Macquarie before outclassed in a stronger race over longer at Muswellbrook. Better suited back slightly in trip. Newcastle-trained 5. Wild Kingdom underlined his promise winning a maiden when resuming at Hawkesbury, but draws a very tricky gate. Scone mare 15. Hi Lizzy has disappointed in two runs back, but will improve with the blinkers back on.
How to play it: Regal Cannon to win

Race 5 OPEN HCP (1600m):

Strongest race of the day, with several chances, but like the placement of 4YO Mudgee-trained 7. Velaro from strong stable. Has been competitive last two runs under enough weight in Randwick Highways, and back in trip and grade with leading rider on, he looks suited big time.Dangers: Scone mare 4. Dreamnomore was a dominant winner from the front two runs back at Coonabarabran before found the pressure a little hot in the Sandy Cup at Muswellbrook. Has to overcome a wide gate, but loves to lead and will be hard to get past. Muswellbrook-trained 1. Disgraceful scored a tough win two runs back at Scone before outclassed in a BM 78 at Rosehill, but this is obviously more to his liking and gets a pivotal 3kg claim. Moree mare 3. Baroque Girl won last start and is in well at the weights, but much more depth here.
How to play it: Velaro each-way and quinella 1 and 7

Race 6 BM 58 HCP (1000m):

Even and modest affair, although warming big time to Gosford mare 3. Directory who will look to charge home from off the speed. Won her maiden two back at Pt Macquarie before a strong closing effort in CL1 last start. Should get the necessary tempo on up front to get home hard.Dangers: Like the last two runs from Wyong mare 6. Terravette closing off at Scone and Cessnock, and gets a nice trailing draw here; while Tamworth mare 2. Rosetta's Comet won three starts back, and with a 3kg claim, is capable of powering home from off the speed. Big watch too on resuming Newcastle mare 5. Take The Mountain who normally comes to hand quickly.
How to play it: Directory to win

Race 7 C, G & E BM 58 HCP (1000m):

Evenly graded dash, although 6YO Tamworth-trained 5. Manabar looks ready to return to his best. Was well beaten resuming under a massive weight in a low grade Picnic race, but that was his first run for nine months and will be sharply improved from a better gate over the extra trip. Won a strong CL2 back in January in record time.Dangers: Market will be a strong guide on many of these, but Moree-trained 2. Oh Why looks a threat from the fence draw after flying home to win a similar race last start, so too another Moree-based runner 4. I Am Dynamic who hit the line strongly last start and is generally around the placings. while 1. Dan Roy is capable dropping in grade, but has a tricky draw and a stack of weight.
How to play it: Manabar to win and box exacta 2-4-5
