Manchester United to beat Liverpool and Everton to 14-year-old Norway prodigy Isak Hansen-Aaroen

The 14-year-old midfielder is currently earning rave reviews for hometown club Tromso, sparking the interest of the Premier League trio.

Hansen-Aaroen has already had spells on trial with the Red Devils, as well as both Merseyside clubs, but it is Jose Mourinho's side who are leading the race to nab him.

United's Head of Academy Recruitment David Harrison reportedly held talks with Tromso earlier this week about a deal that will see the teenager join United when he turns 16.

Tromso sporting director Svein-Morten Johansen said: "We have had very positive discussions with Manchester United.

"Of course there is a long way to go, but we are working well with Isak's family about an agreement.

"We are positive that this will be good for all parties.

"In the first instance we are looking at some kind of cooperation agreement, where the goal is to develop the player so that he may end up going over and playing for them.

"Isak has always been a good player, and he is a sensible lad.

"He is good for his age, and although there is a long way to go he has every reason to succeed."

Tromso director Kristian Hoydal added: "Right now we are talking to United.

"They have gone a little way towards signing him by coming here."
