Jose Mourinho and Co were forced to battle from behind to salvage a 2-2 draw at home to Arsenal.
After 15 games, United now sit eighth in the Premier League table, with just 23 points – a massive 18 points behind rivals Manchester City.
Not only that, the Red Devils even have a NEGATIVE goal difference, with -1 – the first time the club have suffered in this way since 1986-87.
The numbers make for hideous reading for United fans, who at the same stage last season were second in the league.
While post-Sir Alex Ferguson struggles are hardly new, the nature of this season is likely to perturb supporters.
Mourinho has been at war with his players, most publicly Paul Pogba – who once again was dropped last night – as well as his own board in a soap opera of a season.
The last time United were lower in the league after 15 matches was five years ago under "The Chosen One" – when they sat ninth.
That year they went on to finish a lowly seventh – 22 points adrift of winners City.
United also slipped to ninth at this point in the season in 2001-02 under Fergie, but recovered to finish third.
Only in the first-ever Premier League season – 1992-93 – have United been lower, way down in tenth.
Incredibly, that year United went on to WIN the title. However, that was in a 42-game season.
While a point against a strong Arsenal side certainly isn't anything to be sniffed at, it is still two dropped points.
And given United have dropped points in NINE of their 15 matches this season under Mourinho, it's real cause for concern.
In fact, at this stage Mourinho is the favourite to become the next Prem boss to face the swing of the axe.
