Jimmy Butler’s debut spoiled as 76ers cough up big fourth-quarter lead in loss to Magic

It's just one game, but the Jimmy Butler era got off to a dispiriting start for the Philadelphia 76ers.

Butler made his debut for Philadelphia on Wednesday amid high expectations, but the Orlando Magic showed what a work in progress the new-look 76ers will be. Orlando rallied from 16 points down for a 111-106 victory in which Butler took just two shots in a scoreless fourth quarter.

Acquired from the Minnesota Timberwolves in a blockbuster trade that became official on Monday, Butler finished with 14 points on 6-of-12 shooting with four rebounds and two assists. However, he made little impact late as the Magic used a 21-0 run in the fourth to retake the lead and closed on an 11-2 run for the win.
