There are FOUR different outcomes for England depending on their results in their final Nations League game against Croatia.

What does it mean if England win the group?

In June 2019, there will be the Nations League Finals to determine the overall winner:

  • This will include the winner from each group in League A only
  • The four teams will be drawn into semi-finals for a single-leg knockout match
  • The winners will play out the final and losers in the third-place play-off
  • The host country for the Finals must be one of the participants and must provide two stadiums of at least 30,000 capacity
  • Nations put forward their bids before the August 2018 deadline
  • Italy, Poland and Portugal are all vying for the right – with the host decided by who reaches the Finals as all three form Group A3
  • The winner of the Finals is crowned the Nations League champion

What happens if England finish third?

If England finish third they will be relegated to Group B for the next tournament.

This will take place during the 2020/21 season.

When do England take on Croatia?

The final Nations League of group A3 takes place on Sunday, November 18.

It will be held at Wembley.

Kick-off is at 2pm.
