Henrik Lundqvist moved into a tie for sixth place on the N.H.L.’s career wins list as the Rangers beat the Chicago Blackhawks, 4-3, on Thursday night at Madison Square Garden.
Lundqvist stopped 24 shots to tie Terry Sawchuk with 445 wins. Curtis Joseph is fifth on the list at 454.
Chris Kreider had a goal and an assist, and Mats Zuccarello, Filip Chytil and Mika Zibanejad also scored to help the Rangers win for the third time in four games after a five-game skid.
Brandon Saad, Alex DeBrincat and Dominik Kahun scored for Chicago, which has lost five in a row (0-3-2) and seven of eight. Collin Delia finished with 29 saves.
DeBrincat pulled the Blackhawks to 3-2 on a one-timer off a pass from Eric Gustafsson at 1 minutes 40 seconds of the third period. It was Chicago’s second power-play goal of the night and ninth during a seven-game streak with at least one.
Delia, 0-2-3 in his last five starts, made a stellar save on Jimmy Vesey in front about six minutes later, and corralled an attempt by Zuccarello from the left circle with 7:40 left to keep Chicago one behind.
Chicago pulled Delia for an extra skater with about 1:45 left but could not tie it. Zibanejad scored into an empty net with 18 seconds remaining. Kahun beat Lundqvist from between the circles with 1.5 seconds left for the final margin
ISLANDERS 4, DEVILS 1 Anders Lee scored twice, leading the Islanders past the Devils at Nassau Coliseum.
Michael Dal Colle had his first N.H.L. goal, and Jordan Eberle also scored for the Islanders, who gained their ninth victory in 11 games. Nick Leddy had two assists, and Robin Lehner made 16 saves to improve to 10-1-0 in his last 11 appearances.
Andy Greene scored for the Devils, who have lost 20 road games this season. Mackenzie Blackwood stopped 22 shots.
The Islanders scored three goals in the first period. Lee got things started, redirecting Leddy’s slap shot from the point past Blackwood at 5:48 of the opening period. Leddy has 11 assists over the past 16 games.
Dal Colle, the fifth overall pick in the 2014 draft, scored at 9:19. He had struggled to produce in his 10-game N.H.L. stint this season, having recorded only one assist.
Eberle converted on the power play at 15:12. He waited at the face-off circle to the left of Blackwood until an opening presented itself. Eberle has five points in the last seven games.
Greene tipped Damon Severson’s shot at 7:07 of the third period to spoil Lehner’s shutout bid. Lee added an empty-netter at 17:51, his team-leading 18th goal.
DUCKS 3, WILD 0 John Gibson made 37 saves for his second shutout of the season, Adam Henrique and Rickard Rakell scored 11 seconds apart in the first period, and Anaheim snapped a franchise-record 12-game losing streak by winning at Minnesota.
