Fred accused of marring Manchester United debut with kick on Leicester winger Demarai Gray

The Brazil star was knocked to the floor the Leicester City winger and as the youngster skipped past the floored midfielder, he appeared to lash out with his left foot.

Sky pundit Jamie Carragher defended the summer signing, saying he clearly had his eyes on the ball.

But fans across social media were split as to whether the Brazilian playmaker should face retrospective punishment from the FA.

Andre Marriner awarded a free kick around the incident but if he did not see the specific kick from Fred then the Samba star could face a ban.

But, if the official did not witness the clash and blew up for a different foul, Jose Mourinho’s summer signing could be in trouble.

“Sorry that p**** wtf was that why would he do that in the game at all let alone the 1st min I would have subbed him right there.”

Dankwa Inana said: “That was not supposed to be a penalty and Bailey isn't supposed to still be on that field for that two-footed stud showing lunge.

“Fred also should have been given a red for that kick out. Man Utd still enjoying some biased privileges from the referee. The seeds of Graham Poll.”
