The Chicago Blackhawks fired longtime coach Joel Quenneville two weeks ago, but he doesn't seem to be taking his dismissal too hard.
Coach Q is a noted Bears fan, and he was out tailgating with his fellow fans ahead of Chicago's prime-time matchup with the Minnesota Vikings.
Quenneville, the NHL's second-winningest coach all-time, went 452-249-96 over parts of 11 seasons leading the Blackhawks. He guided the team to three Stanley Cup championships, in 2010 – what was then the franchise's first title since 1961 – 2013 and 2015. The 2017-18 season was the only year he missed the playoffs with the team.
The Blackhawks played at home Sunday night, but Quenneville was a few miles away from the United Center seemingly enjoying a night of football at Soldier Field.
