Eden Hazard insists he will not make Man Utd transfer even if hero Zidane joins

Hazard’s Chelsea future remains unclear following a lengthy pursuit by Real Madrid.

It was reckoned that Hazard would be moving to the Bernabeu last summer.

But Zidane ended up quitting in the wake of his third consecutive Champions League title.

And Hazard eventually stayed at Stamford Bridge following the arrival of Maurizio Sarri.

Yet despite a barnstorming season, Hazard continues to be linked with Real.

And it’s believed Los Blancos will finally make their move at the end of the season when Hazard enters the final year of his contract.

However, such is his admiration for Zidane that there could also be a chance Hazard ends up at the Frenchman’s next club.

But the Belgian is adamant that his future will not be determined by Zizou’s next move, explaining that, for example, he would not be heading to Man Utd should his idol get the nod to take charge this summer.

Speaking to France Football, Hazard said: “No, I have never had (news from Zidane).

“If he goes to Manchester (United) tomorrow, for instance, I will not be going there.”

Hazard also claimed he could yet end up penning a new Chelsea contract, adding: “I have won everything in England, apart from the Community Shield, but that doesn’t mean that I’m leaving.

“I have always said that I wanted to explore something different after England. But there are also things that might make me stay.

“After the World Cup, I wanted to leave, but in the end I stayed at Chelsea and I’m playing one of best seasons so far.

“So I don’t think that I need a different challenge. But that doesn’t mean that I will become better.”
