Cristiano Ronaldo dresses as Super Mario but it's not the first time he's worn a costume

The Portuguese superstar blended into the Italian culture by boasting a Super Mario hat whilst posing with his team-mates for an Instagram posted by Paulo Dybala.

The hat is based on the design of Cappy, a character from the Super Mario franchise.

The five-time Ballon D'or winner can be seen posing with his team mates Dybala, Miralem Pjanic, Douglas Costa and Rodrigo Bentancur in the photo.

And there is no doubting he took the limelight away from his team-mates in the photo – just as he normally does on the pitch.

The Juventus players returned to training following the international break and shared a laugh in the dressing room before the photo was taken.

And the footballing superstar couldn't have adapted to life much better in Turin – having netted 13 goals in his 19 competitive appearances for the Old Lady.

He is also no stranger to fancy-dress and particularly loves to dress up at Halloween.

This year he dressed up as a clown with his girlfriend and fioncee Georgina Rodriguez and son Cristiano Jr.

Whilst at Real Madrid he gave his son a fright once after school wearing a spooky mask.

The goalscoring ace also disguised himself as a homeless man once when on the streets of Madrid before revealing his true identity – much to the amazement of passers-by.

He performed this publicity stunt in 2015 to launch his new headphones and speakers brand.

Ronaldo and Juventus are next in action against SPAL at 5pm tomorrow.

They are  looking extend their lead at the top of the table and continue their unbeaten start in Serie A.

And SunSport reported that Juventus and the rest of the teams in Seria A will be wearing facepaint to unite for violence against women in a UN-backed campaign.
