Conor McGregor starts spending his UFC 229 money as he shows off £18,300 Cartier Tank MC Watch and Beats By Dre headphones

The Irishman pocketed £2.3million in his defeat to the Russian and took to the plush stores to cheer himself up.

McGregor, 30, added to his collection of expensive timepieces with a new Cartier classic Tank Anglaise model.

The watch has a smart leather black strap with a gold and back frame.

It is just the latest piece of jewellery in his collection that is worth over £600,000.

They include a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona worth around £23,000, a Patek Philippe Nautilus model worth around £75,000 and a diamond encrusted Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph that totals a whopping £105,000.

He showed off the purchase on Instagram along with a pair of new Beats By Dre set of headphones worth £299.99.

McGregor is not shy in splashing the cash having earned around £120m throughout his career.

His purchases have included private jets, flash cars and holiday mansions.

Recently he used some of his dosh to launch a brand new Irish whiskey brand called Proper Twelve.

McGregor has also delved into the world of fashion by teaming up with A-list tailor David August Heil – the man behind the infamous 'F*** You' suit.

When the range was announced last year, the Irishman said: "We casually chatted about doing a line together but we finally got serious over the past several months.

"I credit David [Heil] with creating the look that has become a signature of mine and there’s no other person I know who understands how fashion can change a person — physically, mentally and emotionally."
